The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
This is my new Benchmade Barrage 580. It has a 154CM steel blade...great shape for EDC. The handle is an ergonomically shaped FRN. An assited-opener, this blade deploys with a very distinctive "thwack" (as if to remind all the pretenders that they need to "know their role"). This is a "beefy" knife...and some might see it as "over-built"; not me. The Barrage is one of those serious knives; ready to do serious work whenever you need it to. Though I think that this blade is handsome, it has a ruggedness about it that screams "non nonsense". As knife collectors, we talk about how a knife "feels" in our hands. Well, the Barrage is one of those "feels GREAT" blades. Talk about money well spent...this is it.
