Impressive. That is the word that I use to describe Benchmade's Rukus knife platform. Shown here are my full-size and my "mini". Candidly, those descriptions are woefully inadequate. The "full-size" is FREAKING HUGE, HUGE HUGE. The "mini" isn't mini at all. It's what normally qualifies as "full size". Both knives are VERY well built. The big knife's action is just mind-blowingly SMOOTH. Both knives feature S30V blade steel in a perfectly-shaped drop point design. The handles are a mixture of G10 and linen micarta! Very nice. Oddly, the fit and finish of my "mini" Rukus is a little better than the large knife...though the deployment action of the big knife smokes the smaller one. The pocket clip on both knives...well...unlike other Benchmades, it stinks. From a purely physical perspective, that is the only "knock" on these great knives! Well...wait just a minute. I have one more "knock"; they are both over-priced...with the smaller knife being quite a bit over-priced. I bought it to complete that part of my collection...otherwise I wouldn't have done it. Still, I've gotta give Benchmade a double "thumbs up" for the Rukus knives!
