The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
I've been collecting versions of Kershaw's Leek knives for some time. The platform is a fun one because they come in so many different variations. Shown here are some interesting models:
* Plain Black Matte 1660 framelock.
* Steel 1660 with Sandvik/D2 steel.
* G10 & S30V 1660 linerlock.
* OD Green w/matte black 1660 linerlock.
* Tan w/matte black 1660 combo edge linerlock.
Of the group, I probably use the matte black 1660 the most. The G10/S30V is probably my favorite of the group because the texturing on the G10 is superb and the S30V steel blade is done with a stonewashed finish. Obviously, the D2 combo steel version is just cool to have. The other two I enjoy simply because of the color combination.
The Leek, really, is a modern gentleman's folder design...so purely a light duty blade...but great for common EDC and just plain cool to collect.
