this bolo reminds me of the movie crocodile dundee and the scene where a would-be mugger approaches dundee with his switchblade knife drawn. dundee chuckles and tells the guy "that's not a knife," as he proceeds to draw his own very large bowie knife. the sight of which causes the hoodlum to flee for his life.

this bolo falls into the latter of the two categories. this, sir, is indeed a knife!

Ron, If you like your bolos on the deadly looking side then this is the one for you. I do not think that this one ever had any other use than to raise havoc either on or off the battlefield.

Hello Ron, These were a general purpose tool meant to be used for anything from clearing brush to defending yourself. Quite deadly in the hands of someone who knows how to use them.
