I am a big fan of Gerber, for everyday use they are a great knife at a reasonable price. I bought this one to bring up to Northern Maine Moose & Black Bear Hunting. The blade has a treatment or coating for corrosion resistance and there is a striker area on the back edge for use with the included fire starter. The sheath also has a sharpening steel on the back of it.
