I unfortunately do not know what metal was used in the blade.

The handle is fossilized walrus tusk.  I will send a photo of the pommel area

Good Morning Kevin,

I wish I knew.  I wrote a whole blog on the knife and why I am posting it on IKnifeCollector.  The blog is waiting for approval before it is released.  I am trying to find out is anyone recognizes the makers mark in the heel of the blade or recognizes the knife itself.

Right after I hit <add comment> I had several other questions...

What steels were used in the blade?   What is the Handle material?  It looks like a Walrus tusk?

It has a pommel plate on it, so I would assume it has a through tang.  Can you share a pic of the pommel area?

Thanks!

Good Morning Chase.

That is a sharp looking Bowie!  Do you happen to know who made it?
