The Xross Bar Lock was the original idea of Dan Perreault who is the owner of Thinking Blades and also the patent holder of the Xross Bar Lock or X bar.

Dan asked me to help him develop this system and I took Dan's idea and developed the locking system into several folders. The first one was the Side Kick with titanium liners, the second one was the Starfighter that had several improvements in the lock, etc. and which has had two articles written on it, Blade and Tactical Knives, and the third was the culmination of the first Sidekick and the Starfighter's best features.

The knife with the "Thinking Blade" logo is manufactured in Seiki Japan and is a consequence of Dan using the design and engineering results of my previous prototypes and culminating it into this little pocket folder.

The Steel is AUS8, the blade is 2.75" and overall it is 6.75"

Although the boys in Japan didn't quite get the full idea behind the Xross Bar Lock's principles and failed to utilize the lock to its full potential, it is still a very solid knife and well worth the money.

Retail price of this knife is $90.00

Beautiful lines and I like the way you have the holes for the Pocket clip covered to keep the dirt out! Well Done! a little detail that many don't address!

Is that the liner lock on the back of the knife?
