That's what I was thinkin while playin with it this afternoon Stephen.

My first thought was, ok, a guy walks into a hardware store or mercantile and says to himself,,,"I need me a good work knife". Maybe he fought in the Civil War or knew a relative that did,,,,and they were still alive! This knife was certainly used but not to the point where the blade was worn down. 1st, someone knew how to sharpen a knife properly,,2nd, it might have been a gift and was only carried on Sundays, to church. Boguls the mind, I love it!
