Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I know what a lame knife to post... There are two reasons I posted this. One is how I cam across about 12 of this vintage and the other reason is that the blades were only manufactured from '83 to '85. The so called New Grind Blades were to be stonger and better. Jim Parker surveyed numorous colectors to decide on what paterns would be produced. they reverted back to a straight grind after 1985. Jim Sargents books have a listing of these and thier values. Rare stag paterns can be over $200 but my Derlin here books in at wopping $30 bucks. I found this and a dozen other good bone knives I no longer own in an old tackle shop in the country. There was a Case display with maybe two yellow composits merchandised... i started talkign to the owner asking him if he'd sell me the case with the knives. Well he wanted too much but then unlocked the back and said, "here, youmay be interested in these. They've just been siting in there for years" I offered him $100 for all twelve. I got the lot for $125. I sold all the bone knives last year regretfully but got more than I paid foor the lot for several of them. The derilins I keep to tell the story.
