Slip joint knives are a lot of fun to collect...particularly if that is where the respective collector got their start. Such is the case for me.

Recently, I was put on to an incredible Slip Joint knife company; Great Eastern Cutlery. Shown here is my very first GEC/Tidioute knife...and it's a breathtaking winner! Featuring immaculate construction, beautifully machined and fitted acrylic handle scales and a wonderful carbon steel blade...this jack pattern is brilliantly executed.

Additionally, one of the things that I really enjoy about GEC knives is the presentation. From their totally unique tube packaging to the super old school logo artwork...this is a brilliant study in niche marketing. The product is flawless, the presentation absolutely geared to old-school collectors...all totally refined to satisfy the discerning collector. AWESOME.
