Max, you are probably right.  I bought the Caliber after I lost my Blackhorn the first time.  It was almost a miracle that I found it.  Two weeks after I lost the Blackhorn, I was walking back to my truck after deer hunting.  I saw a knife laying in the grass.  It was my Blackhorn!  What makes it even more amazing was that the area I lost it in had been bushhogged after I lost the knife.  But it was undamaged.
