Hi Jan
Who couldn't or wouldn't like these insanely Cool knives and thier not just for looking at. These bad boyz can carry a pretty good amount of load. I love the design and thier versatility as a working tool which is astounding.
Ralph,
Split spring whittler is one of the first patterns I fell in love with as an early knife collector. Funny enough you posted a pic of the knife that hooked me today , The old Case 55 pattern whittlers that were the predecessors to the seahorse
Hi Jan
A Splitback whittler or Split Spring Whittler has both springs supporting the main blade. They have a wedged Brass liner in the center of the knife carriage and tically the main blade is much wider length ways than the traditional folder's blades.
A split back whittler !
