Case Kodiak Buffalo Horn 2009
Case Kodiak Green Box Lid Brown insert 01/20/2009 Box Date. Tang has 2 X's. Unusual Handle configuration it has a longer Brass Butt and a single Black Plastic spacer. Complete with Black Sheath Case Papers Warrning Sharp paper, and Disclaimer about the Handle.

Thanks Lars. After I bought it off Freebay. I noticed that this one didn't have the Red & White spacers next to the Brass Pommel. It does have a solid Black spacer only! It is hard to see in the picture but much easier to see in person. So being the sort that wonders! I wondered when did Case Cutlery start making the Buffalo Horn Version of the Kodiak? When did they switch over to the Red & White Spacers? Now I know Case isn't always particular about the Blade Date and the Box date being the same. Because of the Box Date I won't be as concerned with the Blade Date as it is 08 instead of 09. Still I wonder if the lid and the insert are correct for the knife? It just proves even in 2024 their are questions about Case knives. Any input alkways appreciated.
