Trapper Sea Urchin Spines - engraved-VS-Not_engraved

I embedded Stabilized sea urchin spines in a tropical mix of blue green and inlaid it with sugi. Photo shows a tail of engraved vs not engraved, you be the judge?

Very wise statement Brad. It does help me to see which knives engraving looks better on and which worse. I like hearing opinions. The masses are usually right I would say

If I had the coin, I would want one of each.

But having to choose one over the other...I like shiny bolsters.

The trick is not to offer both options. LOL

It's somewhat of a coin toss for me, as well. It's certainly nice either way. But, push comes to shove, I'm more of a plain brown wrapper sort of guy. So, I'll cast another vote for plain -- no engraving on the bolsters.

Thanks for the feed back. I cast my vote for the engraving. The knife seems a bit aim without it in my minds eye.

I'm leaning toward "not" as well.
