PS-my newest TEAR DROPs was a solid celluloid IMPERIAL and a solid cell YALE BRAND... {and steve the camera is on the charger....LOL}
Hello Peter,
Always happy to meet another fellow who likes a nice Teardrop Jack!
The name on the blade is an etch filled with paint.
I have attached a shot of a blade without the paint. ( I like it).
As you can see, the etch is very precise and actually penetrates the surface of the blade.
wat a beauty..the tear drop is a fav pattern if not my fav!...the salvaged wod mkes it all the beter.. somehow the JBF even with me seeing it everywhere was somethig i kept putting of reading about. now that i did... the knives they are having made are awesome!... my only question on the blade is it a stamp or an etch?
Thank you Stanley, Jan, Ron and Steven!!
Every now and then I make a photo I'm really happy with. This is one of those photos.
That's a keeper!
Having the next knife from JBF Champlin and Sons handled in this harvested material is just an amazing offer to knife collectors. Read the interesting story @ http://www.jbfchamplin.com/salvaged-rosewood-from-the-old-cattaraug...
That is one beautiful knife!
