Peter .. they are. If you forward to the other pics in the album .. the knives are also shown with their blades open. As soon as time permits .. I'll be snapping pics of the internal workings of these two designs & starting a discussion relative to their theory of operation over in the repair/mod group.

Ron,

I intend to do a more thorough mechanical review over in our Repair & Mod group when time permits.

My initial opinion .. having disassembled both .. .. .. ..

Single action .. top black one .. like the Joker's in batman. It's heavy for it's size. Too heavy. The blade was described as robust. It measures 0.102" thick. Tapers from that to an "edge" in just 0.245". The point is far sharper than the edge. The locking system is secure .. in theory. In operation .. the safety's level of efficiency was such that's it's already been removed.

Double action .. little red @ btm .. kinda resembles a flash drive.

!!! .. I LIKE THIS ONE .. !!!

Sharp crisp instantaneous opening & closing. The blade just .... appears. It's cool !!!

The blade wobble inherent in this design has been minimized. It's hardly stable in the sense of a slipjoint ..but.. far better than the first 3 I had .. hecho in Mexico. This one came with an edge .. one that actually cut things. Its hardness is serviceable.

I'll be getting pics of the internal organs of these critters & posting over in the repair/mod group soon enough. If you've ever wondered how these work .. watch for the posts.

What's the verdict, Dale? How do you like 'em? How's the spring on that black one?
