Its wood but they filled any voids in it with a shimmering acrylic before they stabilized it.  Pretty cool aren't they?

You have probably seen these over the years or your father might've had one like mine did.

Theses were celluloid letter openers, I'm showin both examples here to show you original vs the rehandle in Burl wood. I gave my cutler buddy a challenge, rehandle that! Thought he did an amazing job. I carry it everyday now.

Thinkin bout gettin the green cell. one drehandled now in somethin different. Any suggestions?
