Yes, this means the top half has some Damascus steel on it but this blade has been done before by Hammer over the years. It's extremely difficult to find these out there in the market. I have collected just these 4 over several years of looking and searching. You knife came out in 1976 as a Bi-centenial release by Jim Parker.

Thanks Ivars, these were made back in the 30s and 40s. You can occasionally find one on ebay but they're pretty difficult  to find. They weren't limited runs but very few have survived over the years. Most used and abused by the original owners. I found 4 of them  and then cleaned them up a little. Mainly just polishing the shields and bolsters but leaving the blades alone.
