It is truely one of my favorite axe heads. At just about 12 inches long you know it must have taken many hours to craft this beauty. Especially when their grinding consisted of water , crushed rock particals, and sandstone.

This is a beautiful artifact. I do stone carving and can attest to the many hours of patient grinding it took the original owner to fashion this fearsome weapon. On a shaft of 24 inches or so it could be swung quickly and attain a very high velocity. Wow.
