I know these are not the best pics but this is my new Cold Steel Sword Cane. It is great. It did not come scary sharp but it came sharp enough and I can make it scary sharp if I want to. Exceptional Cold Steel quality at a fairly decent price (on sale).

Dale, I'm not sure about the steel - nothing is stamped on the blade.  It takes a good edge and you're not going to be dulling it by using it.  Charles, I just give it a good twist and it pulls apart.  It is held together mainly by two large rubber o-rings.  It was stiff at first but it has loosened up a little.

I ask because ..............................

Cold Steel specifies stainless steel for the model you have .. and .. 1055 for their other 2 models.

While 2 other web sites list your model as having 1055 ... knifecenter & Trueswords.

Data, what is involved in removing the sword from the cane?  Is it quick?

Very cool Data!

Charles, it is absolutely sturdy enough to be a good thumper.  It is quite robust.  When you pull the sword part out of the cane part, you have two weapons in your hands.  J.J., the overall length is 37-1/2 inches and the blade length is 24-1/4 inches.  There is about 9 inches on the top of the blade that is also sharpened.

Looks nice Data.  Is it sturdy enough to whomp somebody with it?

VERY sturdy and stable as a cane.  Much better than the one I bought at Walgreen's.  I should have bought this thing years ago!
