Craftsman 9555 Camping Survival Knife 1960's "SFO" By Schrade Walden W/Original Craftsman Leather Sheath & Original Craftsman Packaging

Some things never go out of style. late 1950's to Early 1960's Schrade Walden Cutlery "SFO" for Sears. It's the revered Craftsman Model #9555, the Ultimate Campers Survival Knife with the early Saw Blade, Can Opener, Leather Punch and Screwdriver/Cap lifter & Bottle opener.
It's housed in it's original Craftsman Packaging from the period and it's accompanied by the Original Craftsman Genuine Leather Sheath. A tremendously great knife and super great collectible of yesteryear. State of the art stuff for the era, an era that brought us peace, love and war, Tumultuous times at best. The Sawcut Delrin Handles with the Craftsman Shield pinned to the front handle are in super condition, incidentally this was a very early form of "Delrin", "acetal homopolymer resin" introduced by the Dupont Corporation and released to the public in 1967 at which time Case Cutlery, Schrade and Camillus would opt in and begin making their knives with the new super polymer which was hailed as virtually unbreakable. It has 5 full blades/utensils that were barely used, it has Perfect Walk & Talk and that old time feeling all the way around. It measures 3-3/4" Closed and has it's bale and brilliant Nickel Silver Liners and (3) Back springs with Beautiful Nickel Silver Bolsters. These are Super Great Collectible Knives from yesteryear, a bygone era. The early Schrade Walden Special Factory Orders with Nickel Silver Liners were special then and continue to be very special today.
