Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Tho0se of you who have viewed my photo page have probably seen my Spyderco UK Pen Knife...with the bright Orange ("safety orange") G10 handle scales. If you read what I had to say about that knife, you should have been able to tell that I really like the design...in spite of some acerbic comments about the adverse effects of a government whose reach should be way less than it's grasp. So...I liked the design so much that when the FRN versions of the UK Pen knife became available, I decided to get the Blue-handled version shown in this photo. This is very similar to the premium version...with the differences being the FRN handle scales, the blade steel (Gin 1) and the blade grind. Frankly, I like the action on this version better than my orange one (this is a little easier to open and close one-handed). While this isn't quite as refined as my Orange G10 handled buddy, it's a real joy to hold and to use. And this one is a FPR...(even more fun, right?...did a couple of you think that I was going to say "more funner"?).

If you haven't checked these EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE knives out, you really should. They are very nice. Nice modernization of the long-established slip-joint platform (or, in Spyderco's own words "Slip-it").

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
