The CUTCO Model 89 Hunting - Fishing Knife. With the help of some friends here at iKC, I was able to get the full low-down about this mid-1950's vintage knife and CUTCO.

At 10.25" overall, it has a blade length of 5.25". The handle is thermoresin with Pat. No. 2390544 stamped on the reverse side. The patent number is not for the thermoresin as most believe, but for the ergonomically-designed "hand-perfect" Wedge-Lock handle added to the CUTCO cutlery line in 1952. The pommel is polished aluminum. It is believed the blade is 440A stainless steel polished to a mirror finish, as is used in CUTCO blades today - but I did not have the status sheets to confirm it.

This knife sold in August, 2015 for $130.00
