Hello Jon,
Last evening during Knives Live you were talking with Jan about a Wharncliffe Whittler by Queen Cutlery. I did not wish to butt in on a private conversation at the time but I have some options for you to check out if you like.
Please log on to www.schattandmorgan.com, this will take you to the site of Risner Cutlery owned by Clarence Risner a long time collector and dealer. Click on "Keystone Series" and this will allow you to see all of this series Clarence has for sale.
Please check out the following Whittlers:
Series #6, knife #053046, Series #7, knife #043046, Series #14, knife #043448, Series #15, knife #033448, and Series #18, knife #043054. I believe you may find something of interest in one or more of those pieces.
I have done business with Clarence in the past and have obtained several Schatt & Morgan pieces from him, all made by Queen Cutlery of course. I hope this helps my friend.
What a catch! There's one that didn't get away, until it was released that is.
She is a beauty!
It not only looks good it looks like it was a good time and a great fight!
Nice largemouth...that is awesome...congrats!
Thanks guys. The LM Bass weighed 6 lbs. 2 oz. (not that big for Lake Fork, TX but my biggest LMB caught with an artificial bait). No, it is not on my wall - I'm strictly a "catch and release" guy now. I had an 8 foot, 186 lb. Hammerhead Shark that I caught in FL on my wall for decades, and that was plenty of taxidermy to last me a lifetime!
Great job, Jon! How much did it weigh? Are you going to put it on your wall?
