I make sure the bolsters and the tang are absolutely flat before I attach them together. I etched it with a piece of brass in the solution to get that look. Thanks for the complements!!

wow! my jaw literally dropped when i saw this knife. what a beauty! your wife did real good to pick those scales. in the pic it looks like the blade and bolster are one solid piece of steel. the copper coating gives it a wonderful antiqued effect. just gorgeous!

My wife picked out the handle material for that one. I tried to match up all the scales that I had and none would match.
