Thanks for the link, Pieter! Mr. Burger definitely does make some very high quality pieces. Very expensive, also! I can certainly appreciate why you would regard this as the "crowning glory" of your collection. It's a beautiful piece!
Cheers, my friend!
Yes Ron, made by a guy with the name of Andre Burger. You can see them at http://www.swordcane.com/ and yes, the quality is excellent.
It is AMAZING, Pieter! And, like I said, I would love to have one like it. I too collect canes and walking sticks. Was it made in So. Africa? Just the carbon fiber alone kicks the COOL FACTOR waaay up! Sadly we live in a very fearful world. Even a 3" knife blade strikes fear in the hearts of many. Our laws in the United States are making it difficult to carry many of my knives...legally. It's a very sad situation, I am sorry to say.
Your walking stick is VERY COOL!
Hi Ron, I doubt that it is legal, however I do collect walking sticks and this is the crowning glory of my collection of 25 sticks. And yes, I also collect knives, bayonets etc.
That is one very beautiful, and highly illegal, walking stick. Don't get me wrong. I would love to own one. But, boy, I would sure hate to get caught walking around with it. And, the sad thing is, you couldn't even use it if you were attacked. If you did you would go straight to jail. You would not pass Go. You would not collect $200!
It is very cool, though! Carbon fiber! Sheesh! It had to cost a fortune!
Pieter, I see that you are in South Africa. Can you carry this "LEGALLY" in So. Africa?
