I can understand your reluctance to use the watch Derek it is a beauty . I also am a sucker for anything old that still has a box , don't know why but it just makes it look so much better .

Thanks John and D ale - It's one of those on-going problems...  "What to do with these family keepsakes?" The Knife not such a big issue but with the beautiful old Watch ... I just cannot bring myself to use it, in case it gets damaged ... but what's the point in having it sitting in a draw unused?

So I will pass them on to my Brother and it becomes his issue  :-)
