Also Ken, I didn't relish the idea of being up in a tree with 30 mph wind! LOL
I don't blame you Charles - we are going tomorrow for sure.
Ken, I didn't go hunting today either. I don't know what the chill factor is at 40 degrees and a 30 mph wind, but it is cold! Especially when it was 75 yesterday.
We decided to not go hunting tonight - take a break - tomorrow night back in the tree stand.
Ken, the rut around here usually occurs in January. I killed two bucks last season, one in December and one in January. I killed Lefty last season on January 21.

Charles, I went hunting last night - in the Peak of the Rut and saw nothing. This morning the ground is covered with snow and very cold today. It will be cold in the tree stand, but plan on going out tonight. Should see something. The Bucks should be chasing the Does.
awesome pics
Don't worry, I have only begun to fight er, hunt! (Wrong quotation) The season is still young. I have until the end of January. When the gun season opens in less than two weeks, my prospects will be considerably better. I can cover a much larger area than I can with the bow. I may not get one of the eight pointers or the nine point I have gotten pictures of, but I have no doubt I will be able to kill a couple of deer.
I have a feeling that you will get a nice one soon. Keep trying Charles.
I just got in from deer hunting. I sure would have liked to see that guy but no such luck.
