The sheath I believe is original as I have seen many with with the full rivet/button. G-pa, to me roached his sheath. G-pa picked this up in KCK before dad was born(June 28) but he wore it all the time barely used it, but get-n in & out of his truck the sheath took a beat-n.

You’re a sweet heart. Guess you know I’ll be spoiled from here out. So in the Tab bar the description should be the same if it’s the same product? And thanks for the “Grandpas Wade & Butcher” that brings honor to the man that made my dad possible. He was the only boy & had 5 sisters. 4 before dad and one after. Ron

Yes this is the knife with the VL&A on it. It don’t shine like the big polished Bowie knives, it’s nothing fancy just a good quality knife.

I have the whole article saved on my phone. Nice history. A high end leather store wanting high end knives.

The VL&A is Von Lengerke & Antoinne of Chicago you can read about them here https://www.vintagegunleather.com/company-marks/vonlengerke_history...

This pic is of me youngest son. It was the first day off in 8mo. This is his 3rd “tour” no museums where he’s at. Spent 3 of his 15mo. in Afghanistan they’re still squabbling an “throwing rocks” at each other. The pic here, he’s going to play a round or two. But this is in Kuwait. He’s been in the Nat.Grd 15-16 yrs and now is serving as an E-8. First 2 times his group from MO were in the hot zone in more than one sense of the word. I worry each time he gets called to go across the pond.I want him carrying a black bag home - & not being in one. Sorry my words are not all about knives, We were buds as he grew, still am, and at times I can’t finish the paragraph- I can’t see it. So his pic is there cuz I’m proud of the man(37) he’s become and love him very much!! Sorry I can’t go any further.
