beautiful knife....

That's a beauty!!  Hard to believe it is over 100 years old.  Someone took great care of it.  I know you are happy to have it in your collection.  I have one knife with abalone handles but it's nowhere near as nice as yours!  Thanks for sharing the photos.

Thanks, Steve.  I am very happy to have it in my collection!

You might need to come to my page directly.  If you linked to the picture from the main page, it won't show all the pictures.  Thanks!

Tobias, look up in the right hand corner of this pic. Just above that corner you will see "previous & "next" -- click previous and you will see several photos of this beautiful knife, some with the blades open. Just keep clicking "previous."

That knife is beautiful!  Do you have a pic with the blades out?

It was well taken care of all these years.  My camera can't pick it up, but there is still a faint "Electric" etch on the main blade.  In 1909, Electric consolidated with New York Knife Co, Walden, NY.  The Electric's are wonderful knives.  :)

what a beautiful little knife! i am always attracted to abalone. i believe electric cutlery closed its doors in 1910? someone took excellent care of this little gem! indeed, you are lucky to have it!

Thanks for the comments.  I can't imagine I would ever want to sell it.  It is a jewel in my collection & I am blessed to have been able to have bought it.  It's actually pictured in the New Jersey Cutlery book by Philip Pankiewicz.  A huge thanks to Mike Losicco for letting me buy it from him.
