That's a big factor on why I hold these events. Primarily to get the youngun's interested, but also the rest of the family. Some of the "older" kids are now stepping up to help teach the little guys a bit about forging and knives. Which really takes a load off me. Donnie will tell you, I run - spin - run most of the weekend so I get to do vey little forging for myself, mostly just coaching.

The ladies I'm talking to in the pic were a delight to talk to. The young lady is more into horses right now, but the mother is now scheduled for her first bladesmithing class in November.

What I really like in the pic is all the young people in the shop getting a "taste"
