At just under 4 1/4" open, this is the 1932 version NOT the more recent Washington knife made in the 1990's nor the 1939 World's Fair knife. Camillus produced this knife in 1932 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Washington's 1732 birth.

I believe the writing is "G Washington" - his signature.
