Iltis Ox Head Forestry hatchet 14.175 in, 1.32 lb head

GEDORE - Iltis – Ochsenkopf – Ox Head

To me the Cadillac of hatchets -- snap your finger on the blade edge and it rings like a bell.

You can get them razor sharp.

Lee Valley Tools in Canada carries them and I have the splitter, double bit, felling and standard full size axes and three of the Canoe/Forester half axes…With a couple of their wedges tossed in, you’re covered.
