So...Ken Onion is now collaborating with CRKT. Interesting development. As a Ken Onion fan, I decided to pick up the First Production Run of the new Ken Onion Ripple. Shown here is the black handled one with a combo blade, and my favorite of the two...a blue handled one with a plain blade. The opening mechanism functions on ball bearings...which work very well...very smoothly with the flipper deployment. The handles are a sculpted steel with a frame lock. Nicely designed knives. I do have a couple of "knocks" on them; 1. the pocket clip is mounted too close to the edge of the frame and 2. the sculpting on the handle pattern needed to not be carried right to the butt of the knife (it pokes the skin). All in all, a good first combo between CRKT and Ken Onion.
