The blade is 10 inches long and 3/16 inch thick. The hand guard and full length tang are encased in thick rubber. I keep this knife in the tool box in my truck. I have used this knife for things that I really should have used my hatchet if not an axe.

Thx Tim.  Even though it is a Frost, it not only is good looking, it is a good user.  For instance if I am clearing a shooting lane for deer hunting, I can slice some pretty good sized limbs off the trunk of a tree with one stroke.  And I can cut down some pretty good sized trees with it.
