It was in pretty bad shape, But tried a trick an old cowboy showed me with a sand bag and sandpaper to bbring it's beauty back before polishing. I'm not done with it yet.

I did indeed clean up nicely.  Sometimes you can get a great deal on a knife that looks rougher than it actually is
