2022 is off to a super start. Picked up this limited edition (#352 of 1133) Böker barlow with scales made from oak reclaimed from Schloss Burg, outside Solingen. Has special significance to me, as I visited Schloss Burg in the early 80s during a trip to see some of my grandfather’s relatives in Gladbeck (north of Essen). Solingen was only about an hour from there, so figured …. why not! I loved visiting castles and old churches during my years in Germany. In addition to the oak scales, really like the acid washed O1 blade.
