Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

By and large, the Schatt & Morgan Keystone knives that I've owned and handled have all had pretty strong backsprings. A couple of my favorites are so tight that they absolutely will break nails...so, to open them, I have to use an AG Russell steel nail (tool for opening stubborn slip joints). The sole exception to this rule is shown in this photo. This Sow Belly Stockman has very moderate backspring strength (more akin to what you'd see in a Buck 301...though maybe just a tad stiffer). The shape of main blade (clip) is perfect for everyday use. The craftsmanship on the knife is quite good. The only little burp in the product is that there is a tiny hairline crack in one of the scales near the center pin. Love the pinched bolsters and the quality of these particular ones is exceptionally good.
