As a large slip-joint, the Mountain Man platform is quite appealing. It's as big as I feel makes sense with a non-locking blade; the ergonomics are nice and the knife feels "good" in the hand. Shown here is a very moderately-priced Queen Cutlery Amber Bone handled version. I do with that this knife had a half-stop to it...but overall, this knife is quite well made. Also...the D2 Tool Steel is a plus in my book (due to edge holding capability).
