Get a load of the knife shown in this photo! It's a Great Eastern Cutlery model #23 Egg Harbor. This knife has some particularly appealing aspects that drew me towards adding it to my collection:

* Notice that the case isn't Tidioute or Northfield...it is GREAT EASTERN CUTLERY. I haven't seen a lot of these around. Typically, the knives are either Tidioute or Northfield brands...though both are made by GEC.

* Notice the engraving on the blade. Nice...and quite unusual.

* This is a big trapper style knife. The Black jigged bone is just a bit unusual in it's coloration (this is what makes it the "Egg Harbor").

* This is a low serial number (10).

As is expected of all GEC knives, the fit and finish is BRILLIANTLY DONE!!!

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
