Steve...

Thanks for the comments.  We agree on all of this.

Clint...as you know...I am with you 100% !!!  As I type this, I have a Case Cheetah Cub tucked away in my hip pocket. I carry it at certain places that I go that have blade length rules. Out and about it's often a stag Cheetah that is made just right, in that I can open the blade without using the nail nick. Not blindingly fast and it takes two hands, but like the Israeli draw with a semi-suto pistol, if you practice it enough you'll get quite competent at it! Those big RR swing guards are dandies too...they have a BIG blade that you can open by just pinching and snapping. I have several, including a drop dead gorgeous Tom Hudson Special with his beautiful engraving.  Alexander - get yourself a swing guard. Mine get carried, and they have never let me down.

Alexander....

I highly recommend you get a swing guard....but I really don't know why.  The swing guard knife just appeals to me and I just can't put my finger on the reason.  Maybe when I was a kid and acquired my first swing guard I felt I had a pocket knife and a very small sword.  Well I think you will be pleased.

I'd be interested in that large swing guard too, Clint. Please do keep us posted.

Thanks Jan!  Like I said, I don't know why but I just love the pattern.  I talked with Case and they have a Large swing guard (yes I want one) coming out.  I will keep you advised.
