There 3 Maple Burls are my latest conquest! The largest one is over 100LBS ..
Now If I can only wait for about 3 years for them to dry enough to cut into them and see what BEAUTY is hidden inside! Then another year to dry the rest of the way.
There is no 4 sure thing with a BURL. ya never know what the figure and grain patterns will be till you make a few cuts. Its a adventure in every cut! :)
Maple burl is one of the most durable and beautiful burl woods we can use on a knife.

OK, Maybe not.

But I have done some CRAZY stuff and would love to have me a nice Hack berry Burl!
:) would make a great addition to my ever growing burl collection!
