*Hammer Brand Jack Knife. 3-1/8" closed. the stamp used on this tang was used between 1936-37. This Hammer Brand tang stamp is their oldest one.

Yes, they are fun to find for not much money. I was buying so many on ebay, at one point, that I think the prices got higher as a result. They don't realize it was me only buying them. But haven't looked lately. Check out my photos of some of my display easel back knife cards, when you get the chance!

no kidding perry.  I have slowly transformed in to a vintage knife junkie.  don't get me wrong, I love the new ones dearly, but finding these old pieces, tends to excite me the most.  lots of old crap out there too, but you have to look beyond the surface sometimes.

Hey Tim, I have several of these old shell handled Hammer Brand knives, including some display counter cards, all original but I have never seen this particular one before. So much fun to collect them because I doubt we will ever see all the variations they made back in the 30s 40s and 50s.
