I have a set I plan to use soon of same species.I will try to carve it like you see some of the Macarta handles you see. I bet it will really give a cool effect to this wood! Even cooler.

This is natural wood.  Its been stabilized and when that was done die was added that gave it some of the color. Sycamore lace wood.

Randy, what is the handle material on this beautiful Chef's knife? It looks natural, but I suspect it's man made like sanded G10 or micarta? It's gorgeous whatever it is!
