oh..these knives were painted...almost all of them you wil find with just biits of the pain left...like this looks like it was black.they are IMPERIAL bolster/liner one piece knives....like i said though with a very old tang stamp...HELPPPPPPPP...lol

i always wondered about the age of this tang stamp...i own 3 of this exact knife. the stamp looks like one of the earliest stamps their are-for any company when they are starting up... YET!!!--- its on a HOLLOW FRAME which patents to the late 30s-early 40s. also its not the fancy IKCO in a triangle or box. for the longest time this stamp folks had no idea what it was believe it or not.i always just right away looking at it thought IMPERIAL KNIFE CO.-LOTS thought it was its own brand IKCO...not seeing the CO as being COMPANY..

BUT...have you ever seen this actual stamp in a book....not the IKCO in a triangle ..but this rough stamp.if you have please publish pc with dates!!!...please...any help would be much appreciated! great knife...worth it just for the history alone!! thank you!!
