Mike, I use a yellow scrubber pad, a toothbrush and mineral oil to clean the knives. Yes, I use the Hoppes  oil for lubing. I am sure no expert, but it works for me.

Looks good...what's your advice for de-rusting knives.

"0000" steel wool with a light oil?

Simple Green? 

Rust Jelly (do they still make this?)

Anything to watch out for as far as damaging bone, MOP, steel etc?

I know you can't put pearls in ammonia & water....don't ask how I know.

Are you using the Hoppes #9 for lubing?

Lot of questions, I know, I've been wondering throught he site and came across you photo.
