Imperial fish knives
I acquired via eBay from a fellow in Chicago, $15 shipped. The tang stamps are odd. They are closest to the 1936-52 stamp with the exception of a comma between Prov. and R.I.
I like to think I have rare undocumented stamping, but thoughts of an asian copy linger.

Take a look at a closer pic here. The stamp is "Imperial" over "Prov., R.I.". The other knife has the same mark.

We have a blog here with Tang stamps that will date that Imperial Fish knife. Got to the blogs and look for "Knife Dating". Judging from what I can see from the the stamp in your pic and the Plastisized handle, I would say '70-'80's.

I found this at the Flea near my home, did some cleaning but all in all it was in pretty good shape..Any one know what year approx. ???
