More hours, days of work than I ever imagined spending on one knife. Turns out that dark brown on scales was actually reddish light brown Delrin.

I completely understand both sides of that. I think you made the right decision. Sometimes, the sentimental value outweighs the functional value.

You're very kind Jeremy, thank you again. I wanted to replace that main blade but my bestie wanted it left in memory of her Uncles years of hard work.
