overall:

The knife is short for a mushroom knife. It measures just 4.5 inches in the closed position. The blade is 2.25 inches with a 1.75 inch cutting edge. Obviously big enough to tackle most mushroom.

The blade needed sharpening right off the bat. It also has a lazy closing snap and has gotten hung up a couple times. Ordinarily, this would lead me to giving it a very negative review and sending the knife back. I have instead contacted the seller to see if I just got a lemon. Either way, the few problems with the knife are outweighed by the originality of the design. This makes it a keeper despite the flaws. Of course I can understand why others would pass on the knife

I should mention that after oiling the joints and opening and closing the main blade about 200 times, the blade has remained snug and still has somewhat lazy closing snap but it doesn't get hung anymore. it will snap close one you get it to about 25-30 angle.  I'm use to blades snapping closed at about 45%.  At the end of the day the only real flaw is the ruler that easily rubbed off.  I'm guessing the initial problem with the blade was due to sitting around in a warehouse for a while.
