E.C.Converse, New York, 1888. Converse was a wealthy businessman back in the day. He must have had a large belt as this handle makes the knife very heavy.

Yes you do. I googled the name and he was interesting, and rich. I couldnt find any reason for the 1888 date, maybe our friend John will help.
